Gotye's 'Somebody I Used to Know': remixes transform (ruin?) a hit

As Gotye's worldwide smash "Somebody That I Used to Know" enters its seventh straight week at No. 1, the artist announces the release of a remix EP. As well, a bunch of punks and experimental artists have released a 26-track collection of renditions. It's an intentionally difficult listen, says Times pop music critic Randall Roberts.
